    What does Oracle Cloud Always Free actually include?

    Per tenancy: 4 Ampere A1 ARM OCPUs and 24 GB of memory (split across up to 4 VMs), two AMD micro VMs, 200 GB of total block storage across at most 5 volumes, 10 TB of outbound data per month, and one 10 Mbps flexible load balancer.

    What happens if I go over the free allowance?

    On an Always Free account the resource simply fails to provision. On a Pay As You Go account the extra resources are billed at list price, which is the usual source of surprise bills — so keep every planned resource inside the numbers above.

    Does the boot volume count towards the 200 GB?

    Yes. Every boot volume and every attached block volume counts against the same 200 GB / 5 volume allowance, so 4 VMs with 50 GB boot volumes already consume the whole quota.
